GP Stakes players provide capital to GPs to support their growth ambitions, and allow investors to get exposure to private markets while benefiting from both a credit-like downside protection and an equity upside.
Listen to an insightful discussion on the fundamentals of the GP Stakes strategy, examining this investment opportunity from both the GP and Limited Partner (LP) perspectives, the key success factors for GP Stakes investors in this space and highlight underwriting approach to illustrate market dynamics and best practices.

Institutional Connect Webinar Series: Role of "Infrastructure Secondaries" in an Institutional Private Markets' Portfolio

Private infrastructure has amassed sizeable AuM (~$1 trillion in 2023) in just over two decades and this is expected to grow even further over the medium term due to the sectoral tailwinds seen in energy transition and digitalization themes. As a result of this growth in Infrastructure AUM, the unrealised value of assets held by fund managers has seen accumulation which create an opportunity for secondaries investors to access this unrealised value and provide exit to investors who may be in need for liquidity for various reasons. In this webinar, we went through the current state of the private infrastructure market, and explored the type of transactions available on secondaries market (LP and GP led) with their respective benefits (generate liquidity, rebalancing portfolio, reduce J-curve, raise growth capital, etc.). As well, we took a couple of examples to put things into context and showed why the relevant information and underwriting capabilities were required to identify and invest into these secondary opportunities.
